Getting a puppy is a very exciting experience. Usually your objective for bringing this puppy home is to have an enriching and rewarding experience as it becomes a part of your home. Yet, there could be hindrances to your dream of a happy household with a dog member. A very significant occasion is when you realize that it is not a bed of roses when your dog starts wrecking havoc, not only to your routine but also to your house.

However, you know very well that dog training is the straight forward answer to this possible chaotic situation. Being able to train your pet to have excellent conduct and behavior involves many aspects. It will require different training facets but one of the most important of them all is potty training.

Potty training had been perceived by many as a very stressful and difficult task to undertake. But with the different schemes of going about it, many pet owners are willing to undertake their dog\’s training on their own. The different techniques are often as good as the others. But then, you must always remember the foundation of dog training which is to teach your pet what is a good and acceptable behavior.

In potty training your dog, you must start as soon as possible. Delaying the training might make it harder for you when you get around to doing it. This is because your dog has started to form habits of its own. In potty training or in any other training, consistency is the key as it is the foundation of the habit.

First step you must take is to choose an area for this training. It is advisable that the floor of this chosen area is easy to clean as the training could involve regular clean up if your dog misses the mark. Get plenty of newspapers or even cardboard and lay them all down in your designated area. Each time you notice that its bathroom time for your pet, steer it towards this paper heap.

Make sure that you praise your dog during while it is doing its thing on top of the pile of papers. Do not delay it as your pet might not be able to connect the act with the praise. When you clean up the newspapers, always leave a slightly soiled sheet on top. This will provide a connection of your chosen spot with the required act.

As your dog slowly learn that this is the only spot for a bathroom, slowly shrink the size of the coverage area. If it misses the mark and messes the uncovered area, expand your newspaper cover again. Repeat with shrinking the spot in a gradual manner until your dog perfects the bathroom concept.

When you come to a point when your pet\’s mess is only as big as your newspaper layers, it is the proper time to move on with the training. Your next step is to either exchange the pile for an indoor toilet or move the heap towards the door. Your pet then is ready to be house trained as your pet has been successfully potty trained.

Remember one general rule about your dog and training; your main goal is to form a habit, a good habit at that. Because of this, it will automatically involve time and endless repetitions to achieve your purpose. But don\’t be disheartened as the reward of your patience is that you and your pet gets rewarding experiences together, without the unsightly and unwanted mess.

The Top 3 Area Rugs A Pet Owner

Author: Seane C.J. Hess
10.02.2010

For those among us who love our pets, we all know that having an animal in the home means certain adjustments must be made. While the general public can just go out and buy new hand tufted wool rugs, as an example, owners of pets need to be a bit more careful about the goods they bring into their home. Area rugs must be tough, top quality, and ready to resist friendly, chewing lab puppies and the open claws of moggies stretching in the sunlight.

And when you\’ve just purchased your pet furniture from Petco, not just any area rug will do. So here are the top 3 area rugs for owners of pets.

Area Rug 1: Braided Rugs. These kinds of area rugs provide numerous benefits for owners of pets, and in truth are sold by a number of the largest names in pet suppliers on the market, including Orvis. Braided area rugs are durable, impervious to foot and paw traffic, and easy to clean. In addition, they can be made out of many different types of materials including blends of cotton and polypropylene, which makes them impervious to mildew, stain, sunfading and soil. And as anyone that owns a water dog knows, a mold resistant rug can be a smashing thing.

Area Rug 2: Derclon Rugs. An artificial, wool-like fiber that resists both stain and fading, derclon is another favored choice for those that own pets. The fact that derclon area rugs are hypoallergenic makes them ideal for animal owners who have allergies to their pets, as well as for owners whose pets themselves have allergies – something that happens more frequently than you might think! I knew a lady whose boxer was allergic to pet dander, and she swore by derclon, because it was hypoallergenic and straightforward to clean.

Area Rug 3: Water Trapper Rugs. While not precisely area rugs, doormats and rugs that trap water can be a pet owner\’s best friend. Made out of polypropolene, these rugs grab moisture off boots, shoes and paws, and keeps it out of your home. And because polypropolene drains off and dries quickly, rugs made out of them are excellent for spring and winter, when it feels like all anyone brings into your home is mud and snow! And one of the best benefits? They can be easily cleaned by hosing them off.

If you want to get wonderful deals on new shag rug or contemporary rugs, then 360Rugs is a great spot to begin your search. Their internet site has a great choice of all kinds of area rugs.

When you see a cat which is majestic and extraordinary looking you should know that you are looking at a pedigree Persian cat. These cats have muscular bodies and brawny legs with a face which looks punched. They thrive on attention from you if you are a cat lover and also from people who do not like cats.

The Persian cats are again categorized into sub families because they are likely to have certain differences in their features. If you look minutely you will not only discover that the color of their coats is different but there are other differences too. When it comes to Chinchilla breed it has certain special characteristics that separate them from the rest.

The Persian cats were starting to be exported to USA in’08 when the Chinchilla Cats Club was founded. If you have to know and value whether a cat is a Pedigree Chinchilla cat or not and differentiate it from others, you have to examine its coat as that is the only means by which you will be able to make out the difference. The color of the body hair has variations which would show the difference. A pure breed black coated Chinchilla will have only1/7 of its body hair as black.

In general a Chinchilla Persian cat has an undercoat of pure white and the fur on the back, head, tail and flanks is tipped black that gives off a characteristic of a shining silver coat. The legs of these cats can sometimes be slightly speckled with black tips whereas the chin, ear tuffs, chest and stomach are always pure white.

Theses cats get a fascinating look with their dark rimmed eyes which seem as if they are wearing eye makeup. The nose and lips also have black outlines.

The coats of Silver Shaded cats have different color hair tips that give them a shadowy effect. You will see some fascinating colors from blue to lilac to chocolate. When you consider both Silver Shaded and Chinchilla the former has more ’shadowy’ coat. The coats have a fantastic mixture of colors giving it more shades than you can imagine.

There are some cats which have variety of shades in their underlying coat which is absolutely wonderful and a treat for the eyes and they are appropriately called Golden Shaded. Also there is a breed called Cameo Persian with few red tips on their coat.

The eyes are what the Chinchillas are distinguished with. All the Chinchillas, Golden shaded, Silver shaded and Cameo Persian cats of pure variety will have eyes which are either green or blue green. There is a slight dissimilarity between the Golden Shaded and the rest of them as far as their rim colors are concerned. While the Golden Shaded would have brown rims surrounding their eyes and nose the rest of them have beautiful dark color rims around their eyes and nose.

There are many families out there that have their dogs taken away from them on a daily basis all because of the barking. This usually happens because of your neighbour complaining about the excessive barking. This is horrible, but it happens. You can avoid this by stopping your dog from barking. Easier said than done, right? Wrong! With an anti barking collar you can effectively stop your dog barking fast.

You can train your dog to stop barking. This can be effective, however, it can take awhile to actually stop them, especially if you are working during the time they are barking and you personally can not apply corrective behaviour. The good news is that you do not have to be there to train them. There are anti bark collars which do all the hard work for you.

Anti barking collars are not as inhuman as you would imagine. They are a great way to provide your dog with corrective behaviour, without sending him or her into the corner cowering in pain. The best thing about an anti bark collar is that you do not have to be there to provide your dog with corrective behaviour. This is especially beneficial if your dog is only barking when your away from home. Its a great way to stop annoying your neighbors.

Citronella collars are the other type of anti bark collars on the market. If you can not imagine using the static collars, then this is the one for you. When your dog barks, it emits a citronella spray in his or her face. Dogs naturally hate the smell of citronella, so its a great way to stop them from barking quickly.

Another anti bark collar is the citronella collar. The citronella collar is the best type of anti bark collar if you really do not like the idea of the static collar. How the citronella collar works is that it sprays a burst of citronella near the dogs face when he or she barks. Dogs naturally hate the smell of citronella so it will prompt them to stop the barking very quick.

This is a trick Ive tried and tested repeatedly.it works like a charm. I almost hate to share it – but here it is anyway visit: Anti Bark Collars. DO NOT let your neighbors decide your dogs fate visit: Anti Bark Collars
