Discover Purebreds, Mutts and Designer Dogs Today

People have long had a love affair with mixed breed dogs or “mutts”. These dogs tend to differ quite a lot in size, looks and personality, even when they come from the same brood. Mutts by and large have very good healthiness and they make great pets.

A mutt is a dog that is a product of an unknown heredity. They are not of one specific breed and it is usually unspecified if there parents are of purebred status. Mutts have an unknown heritage and a questionable inherited line.

On the other hand a purebred has two parents of the same breed. Many times there are lengthy and well kept records concerning the pedigree of these dogs. Breeders are conscientious in their breeding activities to make sure that they bring into being the strongest qualities in their dogs.

You may desire a purebred for a pet or you may desire a mutt. A mutt will usually have robust healthiness and they do make wonderful pets but a purebred has special individuality that are bred in. There also is another alternative that you may take into account and that is the hybrid dog or the “designer dog”.

Hybrids are a cross of two purebred dogs from two diverse breeds. They are distinctive from a mutt because their roots is well-known. Each of their parents are purebreds with inherited lines that can ordinarily be traced back many generations.

Hybrid dogs are becoming rather the fad these days. You see them everywhere from movies to dog shows. These dogs tend to have the best character from each of the breeds and regularly a good blend of both breeds.

These designer dogs usually have fun names that are a blend of the two breed names such as puggle, for a pug and beagle mix, poogle for a poodle and pug mix, cockapoo for a cocker poodle mix, goldendoodle, which is a golden retriever and poodle mix and the list goes on and on.

Hybrids are fantastic pets and if you are having a hard time deciding on a breed a hybrid can get you the best of two breeds. They typically have impressive health and they are intelligent and fun dogs to own.
