Having a pet at home is a great experience and a total pleasure, there are so many small things a pet requires and it can be a great joy looking around and shopping for them. Many people do not like leaving their pets at home, maybe there is a pet-sitting problem at home or they simply want their pets to be with them 24 X 7 because they love them so much. Some people even travel to other destinations with their pets. Some pet cats and dogs are small in size and are easy to carry around, but some are not that easy to handle outdoors, so it is very necessary to purchase a good pet stroller for your convenience.
When choosing your pet stroller there are some important factors you need to take into consideration. You want to ensure your pet is safe and comfortable and that the dog stroller will perform to your satisfaction based on where your outings will take place. The primary criteria in your selection start with the weight capacity of the cat and dog stroller. You will need to know the weight of your pet to get started. Choose a pet stroller that is designed to carry more weight than what your pet weighs.
The next area to pay attention to is the size of the compartment. In order for your cat or dog to be comfortable, they must have enough room to sit, stand, turn around and lie down. The height of the compartment should exceed the height of your pet at the shoulders. You can check the width and length of the pet stroller compartment by using masking tape to make a rectangle on the floor. Your pet should be able to curl up and lie down within this area. You should consider where you plan on using your dog stroller. Wheel size is the main determining factor here.
The larger the wheels are on the pet stroller, the easier venturing off the sidewalk will be. Inflated tires and/or shock absorbers help over rough terrain. Some Dog strollers have even been designed with the jogger in mind. Wind and rain covers are a must for keeping your pet healthy and comfortable during rainy, windy and cold conditions. At a minimum the pet stroller compartment should be able to be completely enclosed with water resistant material.
Additional features you should look for include: – A locking brake, collapsible for storage, detachable carrier or car seat, multiple pet compartments, well ventilated cabin area, removable padded insert, reflective strips or flashing light for night, cup holder, water bottle holder, various storage areas and pockets, a parent tray. Pet strollers do not just keep your pets safe from road dangers and disease contamination but are also user friendly. A lot of people prefer pet strollers over pet carriers because you do not have to lift and carry a pet stroller to transport your pet from one place to another. Pet strollers will give you years of enjoyment with your pets if you follow these guidelines when making your choice.
