I think, we need a group hug!!!

What you said doesnt make any sense. When im disobedient my mother smashes my head on something till i am obedient. Now i wouldnt go acting like dogs and humans are exactly the same. Though the dog in the video IS very stressed. Not the right breed for him thats what.

I know! i was wonmdering uf it was just me seeing how streessed that dog is! At 1st i thought well maybe shes just a stressed or a pain in the butt lazy dog. I dont think this breed is right for that guy. He needs a dobermin or german shepherd. dogs that have more drive when stressed. know what i mean?

its not because its a dog its because he dont need to jump on people, take off running, ect… i love my dog to death and i wont put him through any more pain than needs to be.

Awful! This is the direct opposite of the dog trainer I want to become.
He is dull and using old harsh methods of yesteryear!
Things have moved on and proved that encouraging the dog is better than harsh corrections shown here.

Thank you for posting this video. Now I can point people to it o show them how stressed out dogs get by this sort of “training.” That dog is throwing stress signals left and right and the worst hing is you don’t even know or care. What kind of trainer believes this rot?
August 24th, 2010 at 10:48 am
Or how about actually trying to train your dog instead of bully it??? Dreadful, horrendous, awful!
August 24th, 2010 at 10:50 am
If you want a nice heel how about looking up some positive trainers – their dogs are so much happier looking with far better looking positions – cos they are not worried about a noose tightning round their neck if they make a mistake.
I wouldnt want to be your buddy if thats how you treat them

A very important video for those who keep dogs to hunt birds. Thanks and keep it up.

okay so when you are disobedient, can i usa a pinch collor on you when nyou are disobedient? Or is it right to beat a dog just because it is a dog? In the country where I live, it is illegal to harm a dog

Other neighbors constantly watch
August 24th, 2010 at 12:52 pm
i use a garden hose on my neighbor’s dog just hide from them and spray them everytime they go to bark
August 24th, 2010 at 1:08 pm
our problem is having disobidiant dogs… i use a pinch collar and hit my dog when he dont listen and now he is a pretty good bird dog and he dont get the pinch collar or get hit no more

Call the Local Council to investigate noise pollution, & RSPCA to investigate cruilty… The owners will soon get the hint! (UK) I am not sure ‘anythongs’ will help the situation though! LOL.

That’s pure insanity. Poor dog!
August 24th, 2010 at 3:12 pm
I would NEVER hit my dog or use a pinch collar! Whats wrong whit you people? I love my dogs and would never hurt them in any way! instead of hurting them i wait untill they do the right thing and reward them for that, no pinch or chock collar, and absolutly no hitting!
August 24th, 2010 at 3:14 pm
pinch collars are much better, alot of dog deaths have been caused to the choke collar.
great vids btw

I took my lab to several dog obedience classes before doing bird hunting training.
During my first class we used pinch collars and popped the dogs with the leash
At my second class (different business) got fussed at because I brought a pinch collar and I popped my dog on the rear with my leash. They made use a choke chain only. My lab doesn’t give a flying frick about a choke chain.
The first class was more effective.
