Sorry, but every night is not a Pink Floyd laser light show roller disco happy dress-up like Little Riding Hood and do the robot dance freak show in my household. And I don’t get the urge to hypnotize my cat, have it fall asleep and then make it walk around upright like a human, as if it’s the court jester and I’m the king.

If my cat gets cold, it cuddles under the covers; I don’t get out its ironic “mouse” outfit. If it has to go poopy, we don’t share the same toilet. There are no catnip containers shaped like squirrels or parakeets. Those things are utterly worthless. It’s like giving a nursing home resident a permanently sealed bag of soup.

To be honest, my cat goes nuts every time it walks by the floor-length mirror in the living room. She growls, runs away, runs back, swats at it, etc. Ball up a piece of aluminum foil and she’s happy as a clam on a water slide.

So I definitely don’t need to resort to aiming laser beams at its eyeballs! Especially given that federally funded scientists are testing laser patterns to see if they can be used to induce homicidal behavior. No thanks. I just found out that the D.C. in Washington D.C. stands for Demon Cat, so count me out. And you get what you’re asking for if you buy this.

This may be a great product but what about the danger to the eyes of the pet? Nothing in the product description mentioned any safe guards. I have had cats & dogs that went nuts over lasers but they were hand held & great care was taken to make sure that the laser never got close to the eyes. It only takes a split second to do PERMANENT damage. If there are safe guards then you can’t beat it. I gave it two stars but without safety 0 stars……with safe assurances 5 stars.

Our concern is that sure it looks fun for the cats to chase this laser without our control, BUT, like others have said, what about if the laser beams at their eyes or they walk up to the beam and look into it when you’re not around? There are warnings about NOT letting the beam show into their eyes, it is harmful..

This is the only thing we are leary of here, so wouldn’t buy it.

We do use laser toys so we can control where the beam goes and control it so they DON’T look into it or the beam doesn’t accidentally shine at their eyes…

they should create a beam that is harmless?

My cats are absolutely in love with this toy. The first one we received was broken right out of the box but, Amazon quickly replaced it. We got the second one and my two cats went absolutely nuts for this thing. The only problem I see with it so far is the 15 minutes auto shut-off feature.

My cats would happily play with it for much longer but the darn thing keeps shutting off and I am not always available to stop what I’m doing and go turn it back on after 15 minutes. My poor cats just sit there staring at it after it shuts off, raring and ready to go but, no more red light. 15 minutes goes by incredibly fast when they’re having this much fun…the auto shut-off is a real bummer and should be an option only, not the standard setting!

My cat loves laser pointers so I thought this would be perfect. Not so much. It makes really loud noise and the laser is slow. My cat was more interested in the apparatus itself, rather than the laser. Useless. Gave it to a friend and her cat seems to enjoy it a little.
