I bought this with the hope of curbing the barking of my dog. He didn’t seem to notice nor care when the trainer was being used. It also had zero affect on the cat.

    Save your money!!!

Product seems to work as advertised. Does work much better on some dogs than others.

I have a stubborn and very loud barker (part coonhound). He would get in a barking mode where nothing could interfere. It only took a few times with this until he learned what the word “QUIET!” would be associated with. (please, when you use this make sure you say a consistent command that you would like to eventually use without this thing) He does need a few reminders when there is something that particularly grabs his interest. I really like the bright blue color, because it is easy to find quickly and once the dog sees it, knows to be quiet before you say your command or resolve to using the trainer. I love my dogs and feel this is humane if used as a “training tool”.

Only shortcoming: confusion on which end to point towards the dog. The Pet Agree label on mine is upside down to you as you hold it which is unlike the picture I see in the ad. I will post a picture so you can see how mine is backwards!

The first couple of times I used this on our Yorkie, it worked. He had a sock in his mouth and immediately dropped it. I rewarded him as directed. The next few times I tried using it, there was little or no effect on his behavior. It does seem to work to call him back in the house when he has been let out into our back yard.
