@WinterHaven no his sentence we definitely lighter than most would have gotten. He did more than just fight pitbulls or attend pitbull fights. Read up on it. The man has some serious issues, but hey he can play sports very well.

@WinterHaven Not really. Most people would get around 3-7 years in prison. Anyone who kills a sentient animal for no reason except for entertainment purposes deserves prison and/or death. I love how you are supporting such a cunt like Michael Dick.

This breed should be treated with the respect they deserve, i have a staffordshire bull terrier and they are the most loving, caring, happy and loyal dogs u could ever meet, the breed should not get the blame for the bad rep they dont deserve, its the the owner that should be looked at, the dogs we have mirror us as people and people that abuse any dog should either not have any pets or should be educated in pet care. Staffies and pitbulls are the greatest dogs you will ever own in ur lifetime

@reymatt76 This was one of the dudes I met when I lived in Kansas City. And I agree that is abuse. It doesn’t change what he did. They had huge pits too. It was brothers. They would pull the dummy out and the dogs would go insane!!! Foaming at the mouth crazy death dogs, no shit. Racist owners mad the dogs racist. Black friends were warned if they came over to be careful and not get out of the car if the dogs are out. He had to put them away or they would bite them.

@chade1983 OK, well I have never heard of an animal owner paying people to beat up his own animal in order to create a racist dog. those people should be put in jail for animal abuse in my opinion. And if that is true, then it’s the owner’s fault, not the dog, for being racist against black people. I don’t believe that story though. Who was this person that you met? Where did he live? Give me a break.

@reymatt76 He also had them dress in all black and wear black ski-masks and beat it. Then he made a dummy that was in all black like the men who beat the dog, and he would beat the dummy. The dog was then taught to bit and attack the dummy. Dogs can be conditioned in many ways to do many things, hating black people is one of them.

@reymatt76 You may not believe it but racist people can make a racist dog. I have met racist dogs. They were made to hate the sight of a black person, no matter how big. Just as described, the owner paid a black guy to beat their dog for no reason. Then another one. Then another one. Then another one. Before long, you know what happened? Black people couldn’t get close to the dog before it went into attack mode. Because it hated them.

@rcowboy4 Again, “precedence” was spelled incorrectly. The root word is “precedent” not “president.” (rolling eyes) That’s fine and all, it’s just that you sort of lose credibility when you misspell words while criticizing others’ grammar and diction peccadilloes. I’ve no doubt you’re a law enforcement official. I used to administer psych tests to them, and candidates with over a certain IQ were excluded from employment. There are no geniuses working as cops, but they’re lovable nonetheless.

@chade1983 Dogs are not racist! They can read the subtle nuances in someone’s demeanor and can discern the “good” people from the “bad” people. Most dogs use their sense of smell, not sight, to help them with that. If a dog growls at someone and not anybody else, it’s because the dog senses that the individual is a “bad” person. I know that dogs can differentiate between men and women, but not black and white.

@Jelet55 I don’t think those criticizing Vick are 100% upset about his dog fighting, it was more the hideous methods of torture he used against these animals that makes me and millions of others believe he should’ve been eliminated from the planet because anyone that can do that to another living thing – human or otherwise – doesn’t deserve to share the planet with me or anyone else who respects life. Too bad that didn’t give him the OJ treatment.
