Dog Training Ultimate Guide

Dog behaviorial school – when everything else fails.

When is feeding time when you’re crate training a puppy?

Twice a day? Typical hours? Like 30 min before you bring them outside to potty or something? And when do you put them back in the crate – only when you’re gone or only at night?

I’m a stay at home mom & I’m in & out all day, but I’ll be the most constant family member in his life.

Feeding time is ideal when it is twice a day, after you and your family have been feed.

Crating can occur at any time throughout the day. We used to use the crate during the day for short periods when training to help when we were not able to 100% watch the dog (such as when you might be cleaning the house). It gives them a chance to get used to it and you a chance to hear how it’s going from the next room over.

Puppies should be fed 4 small meals a day so say 8,12,4,8.
Puppies should not spend the whole day in the crate.
Only use the crate when you are going out or at night time but leave the door open during day anyway incase the puppy wants to go in their for quiet time on his own.
puppies generally need a poo around 20 minutes after eating food.
They need to wee after drinking, playing, sleeping etc etc
    Good luck
